Adult Day Health and Group Community Learning
This program is located in central Maui and provides a place for adults with developmental disabilities to socialize with their peers, actively participate in their community, and receive health and personal care. Within a group setting, learning focuses on safety, health, job skills, money management, and other life skills, according to their individualized service plans. Adult Day Health provides a rich enjoyable experience while providing vital personalized services. Transportation and lunch are provided daily.
Personal Assistant and Individual Community Learning
Each participant is assigned a trained staff person who assists the individual to meet his or her personalized goals. Program goals are developed by the participant’s “circle of supports” which includes the individual, guardian, family members and other important people in the individual’s life. This service focuses on training and assistance that increases independence, develops skills in self-advocacy, builds vocational skills, and helps the individual identify and expand personal interests.
This service is designed for family members to obtain short or long-term support and relief from their care-giving responsibilities. It can be a planned regular service or for emergency purposes.
